One of the newest products from Microsoft is the Xbox 360. Before Xbox 360, the regular console made a huge impression in the gaming console industry and had a few problems regarding the console. but just like other game console, Xbox 360 has some problems that you may encounter. Listed below are the 5 main problems of Xbox 360. Knowing its main problems, you will be able to avoid encountering these problems.
1. DVD Drive problems (ERROR: E64 – E66).
This problem is not that complicated. the main reason why these errors prompt is that the connection of the DVD drive could be loose or not connected. you simply check on the connection of the DVD drive and your problem is fixed. but, if you already checked the connection and the error is still there problem could be regarding the wiring of the DVD drive which is replaceable or the drive itself.
2. Hard Drive problems (ERROR: E67 – E69, E79).
Just like a PC, the Xbox60 has a hard drive. the errors could be because of a corrupted file, loose connection or bad sectors in the hard drive. if your hard drive is corrupted it could be fixed same thing if it has a loose connection. if your hard drive is hurt though it is best to buy a replacement or a new one.
3. Hardware problems or failure.
This problem will not prompt any errors but your console may not work. it is either it will not turn on or it turns off on its own surrounded by seconds. these problems occur when there is a problem with the hardware. what do you mean by hardware? Parts of the hardware are the chips inside the console and other parts. There maybe problems regarding soldering or overheating of some hardware parts.
4. Problems with AV Cable (ERROR: E74).
Obviously, this problem is regarding the AV cable itself. when a problem regarding the AV cable occurs, you should buy a new AV cable. AV cables doesn’t cost that much so it is best to just buy a new one.
5. Power Supply problems or failure.
When a power failure occurs in your console, you should simply replace your PSU. do not troubleshoot this type of problem since it is dangerous. Even though it may not supply enough power to the console, it still has a ground which can electrocute you and anyway, the power block is sealed and you should not attempt to open it.
If your Xbox still has problems after going through this list and you cannot get it working you probably have a hardware fault. the next step is to repair the console. you can either do this by getting a technician to repair it or by repairing it yourself with a repair guide.
